If I had to describe our journey briefly, this is how I’d do it. But of course, in the essence of this feature, we’re going back to our roots to tell the tale of how each of our passions when blended created something truly vibrant.


People often say that college friendships are momentary. After all, lives change and so do ambitions. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth for the three of us. It was our shared ambition that held us together back then and even today. Every college friend group dreams of doing something revolutionary together – be it changing the world or quite simply, leaving a mark for history to remember. And we’ve had the good fortune of doing just that and more from here on, I hope.


Our collective passion fuelled by two decades worth of friendship empowered us to start a company that tells stories we would love to watch. Looking back, I know that our love for films and our hunger to have our voice heard in the sea of greatness we had both witnessed and been inspired by countless times became our defining thread.


That’s how Green Chutney Films was born.

Armed with a dream and limited capital, GCF’s journey began humbly in Ahmedabad in 2017. Being a bootstrapped company, our foremost focus has always been providing value to our customers. Our team, (otherwise also known as the secret ingredients to our green chutney recipe) has worked tirelessly to build a culture where quality and timely delivery are prioritized above all else. Over the last 7 years, navigating the current media landscape that’s saturated with similar offerings has been quite the experience. By actively listening to what the audience truly wants, adapting to any challenges, delivering value, and exceeding expectations every single time, we patiently forged our path and the results speak for themselves. Today, our mission that started in Gujarat now spans teams in Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

Our commitment to establishing our unique identity anchored in exceptional customer service satisfaction has kept us going even amidst the fierce competition. From the very first conversation to completing projects in record time, we’re dedicated to understanding our customers’ requirements and executing their vision - with absolute precision and without any compromise. This intention is what has helped us build true credibility with every client, leading them to confidently vouch for their seamless experiences with our team. 

They say it takes a village and I’m inclined to agree. Growing in tandem with our customers who have not only invested in our vision but also stood as our partners on this incredible journey, I’m proud of the support system we have built.

Most recently, we have had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with brands such as Havmor, MamaEarth, Nykaa, Berger Paints, Supertails, mCaffeine, TAC (The Ayurvedic Company) and Brillare Science. I believe that each of these partnerships didn’t just result in successful ventures, they were also remarkable learning experiences for both sides. It has been truly gratifying to witness not just how each brief manifest physically but also the role combined efforts play in creating impactful media and content.  

It’s been quite the ride and I’m truly excited for what’s to come. Not just in the sense of reaching more clients, but how we at GCF can push our boundaries as a company. We intend to diversify into new verticals such as Fintech, Banking, and Consumer tech, while also focusing on more impactful brand work. After 7 years of bringing our client’s visions to life and as ardent cinephiles, we’re also aiming to dive into fiction and long-format story development.

If I were to sum up my thoughts for the future, I’d say that the world is our playground. And given the zing our company is ready to add to the mix, I’m looking forward to it. After all, be it your favorite chakna, 20 years of friendship, ad films, or anything else that comes to mind, everything's better with green chutney.
