The winter months can affect your hair more than they would affect your skin. Being unprepared for this season can leave you with dry, dull hair. Here are some tips to see you through these months:
Oil is well
Hot oil massages in winter are a must. But getting an oil massage doesn't mean you soak your hair in oil. The more you oil it, the oilier it becomes. And so you use more shampoo to get rid of that oily hair abusing it to an extra dose of chemical components. So use minimal oil for your massages.
Shoo shampoos
Do not shampoo your hair too often. One of the most common mistakes people make is shampooing their hair too often. In cold weather, both the hair and scalp dry out more easily. Try not to shampoo your hair more than twice or thrice a week. And to keep it from getting dirty, wear a scarf, hat or cap to protect it.
Hair raising story
Do not overuse your hairdryer, unless you want to damage your hair. If necessary use it on the cool setting mode instead of hot. Drying your hair with cool air may take a little longer but it will do less damage to your hair.u00a0And if your hair still continues to be dry and brittle, then a leave-in conditioner will work wonders for it.
