He's also been the brand ambassador for the Special Olympics (for handicapped children) Only 15 international celebrities have been invited to Canada to participate in carrying the Olympic torch and apna Akki one of them.

At a corporate lunch, Akshay will present the Canadian PM Steven Harper with a token of appreciation and speak on the occasion of being the sole torch bearer from India at the Olympics.
