Jaya Bachchan and doting daughter Shweta Nanda are taking turns to take care of Amitabh Bachchan at the hospital here following his abdominal surgeries amid indications he will be discharged Friday or Saturday.

The 69-year-old was admitted to the seven-star SevenHills Hospital Saturday and he underwent two surgeries. He was to be freed Monday but it was put off after he developed acute pain. The actor is on the fifth floor of the hospital, where son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai's baby girl was born last year.

The Bachchans have booked four consecutive rooms, costing Rs.31,000 each a day. Jaya and Shweta take turns to look after Big B, informed sources said. Aishwarya visited him Tuesday along with Beti B.

Shweta brings home-cooked food daily at around 3 p.m. and relieves her mother, who returns to the hospital around 7 p.m. The 69-year-old Big B is feeling better now. He told his fans "All Izzz Well" through his Twitter page.

His abdominal problems stem from an injury he suffered during the shooting of "Coolie" in 1982, an incident that almost cost his life. Security at the hospital is not as tight as it was during Beti B's birth. But all those wanting to go to the fifth floor are asked who they want to visit.
