Riteish Deshmukh became friends with Fardeen Khan when they shot for Heyy Babyy in 2007.

Dining with friends

Riteish was attending an architectural exhibition in Milan, when Feroz Khan passed away, and Fardeen was shooting in Goa by the time he returned to Mumbai. So Riteish decided to drop in to the location to offer his condolences.

Also, Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt (he's also worked with them) were shooting for All The Best. Riteish met the gang at their InterContinental Hotel and stayed back for dinner.

A source adds, "Riteish couldn't attend the funeral and the prayer meeting though his dad Vilasrao did. Riteish felt bad that he wasn't around during Fardeen's moment of grief. But he made up for his absence by meeting Fardeen in Goa."

Riteish says, "It was a very private moment and something I wouldn't like to talk about."

On a more cheerful note Riteish says attending the architectural expo was great fun. "It was nice catching up with my school and college friends from the USA."

Loving an elevator

Although, he didn't pick up anything from there, he fell in love with an elevator. "There's an interesting elevator I saw at a Roberto Cavalli stall which is on my wish-list when I get a hi-end spacious residential home to design. It's a single structure with one floor extremely huge about 100 sq feet in size with a huge couch, curves at the top, and two TV screens.

I was like 'Wow!' when I saw it. It's like a small lounge. I would have loved to have it if I had a house so big. It just shows the various things one can do with an elevator."u00a0

The party I support
Ritiesh is also thrilled that the Congress won a majority in the parliamentary elections this year. "Yes I voted for the Congress it's not a secret ballot with me which party I will vote for. It's a party that I support and believe in."
