The Veer producer has bought the rights to three shows in the UK
Vijay Galani, who had gone into heavy losses due to the box office failure of his production Veer, is seemingly back on track. He has bought the rights for three shows of A R Rahman's Jai Ho u2013 The Journey Home concert in the UK for a whopping Rs 10 crore. The shows will be staged at Manchester, Birmingham and London.
According to Galani, Rahman is in huge demand in the West. All the shows have already been sold out to promoters. Ticket sales will begin in the first week of April. He chose UK as it is a cosmopolitan market and the shows are bound to draw the Asian population u2013 Indians, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis u2013 along with the Europeans and the Americans. The deal was sealed last week after taking into account travel and stay expenses for the 85-artistes strong troupe.
