Late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan, who has time and again made headlines for his down-the-earth nature, is back at it after donating a generous amount to a YouTuber solving the water crisis in Palghar.

A video shared by a paparazzo shows Babil encountering YouTuber Prem Kumar who speaks to the actor about the issue in Jawhar taluka, Palghar district, located 100 km from Mumbai. Upon hearing about their ordeal, Babil donated a sum of Rs 50,000 to the cause. As he transferred the amount from his phone, the actor said, “Mera naam likhne ki jarurat nahi hai, tu acha kaam kar raha hai (No need to mention my name, you’re doing great work)."

Babil’s kind gesture comes a day after his father Irrfan Khan’s fourth death anniversary. Irrfan died at a Mumbai hospital on April 29, 2020. He was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and lost his life to it.

Remembering Irrfan, Babil wrote on Instagram, “You taught me to be a warrior, but engage with love and kindness. You taught me of hope and you taught me to fight for the people. You do not have fans, you have a family, and I promise you baba I will fight for our people and our family till you call upon me. I will not give up. I love you so much.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Babil was last seen in the web series 'The Railway Men: The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984'. It also stars R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyenndu.

'The Railway Men' is set against the backdrop of the Bhopal gas leak tragedy. It showcases the unshakeable courage of the employees of Indian Railways and their efforts to save countless lives during the city's darkest hours. In the late hours of December 2, 1984, methyl isocyanate gas leaked from a pesticide factory owned by the Union Carbide Corporation. The gas disaster is considered the world's worst industrial tragedy.

Babil has also been a part of projects like 'Qala', and 'Friday Night Plan'. The 25-year-old next has 'The Umesh Chronicles' in the pipeline.
