Did Karan Johar watch Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan's 'trailer of the century'?

In a cryptic Instagram story, Karan Johar hinted at watching 'the trailer of the century' and netizens feel he talked about Jawan's much-anticipated trailer

Shah Rukh Khan opened a platform for questions from fans on Twitter on Saturday after dropping the teaser of Jawan's next song, Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Several people asked him about the trailer or the second 'Prevue' of the Atlee actioner. During his Ask SRK session, the superstar indicated that something major might release anytime soon.

Amid much anticipation and speculation for the trailer ahead of Jawan's release, Karan Johar shared a cryptic note on his Instagram stories. Without revealing the title of the film, the director wrote, "I just saw the trailer of the century!!!!!!!" He added, "#iykyk (sic)." Netizens were quick to speculate that Karan watched the trailer of Jawan. 

During Ask SRK, when a fan asked, "@iamsrk #AskSRK yes wanted to know when the trailer of #Jawan will launch Sir ? We fans have been waiting patiently for this," he replied, "Have it ready now…can’t decide should I put a new song or the trailer….???" Another person asked about the trailer, he said, "Trailer nahi aayega toh picture nahi dekhoge kya??!! Trailer trailer trailer ha ha. Aa jayega bhai saans toh Lele."

Shah Rukh and Karan's professional association goes a long way. They share a family-like relationship too. Karan's directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starred Shah Rukh with Kajol and Rani Mukerji. Over these 25 years, the director-actor duo collaborated on various projects including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan and many more. Shah Rukh even did a cameo in Karan's directorial, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).

The teaser of Karan's directorial comeback, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, was also launched by Shah Rukh. The superstar wrote on Instagram, "Wow @karanjohar 25 years as a filmmaker. You’ve come a long way baby!! Your father and my friend Tom uncle must be seeing this from heaven and feeling extremely happy and proud. Have always told you to make more and more films because we need the ethereal magic of love being brought to life… like only u can do. #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani teaser is looking beautiful.
