After Sooryavanshi, Katrina Kaif’s next, Phone Bhoot, will hit screens on July 15, 2022, a day ahead of her birthday. On Friday, the makers announced the release date of Gurmmeet Singh’s horror-comedy co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. A section of netizens was more keen to know about Kat’s rumoured wedding date. There’s talk that she ties the knot with beau Vicky Kaushal on December 9. The couple prefers to keep mum.

The choice is clear

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan strives to entertain people, and the notion that he takes interest “only in making socially-relevant films is untrue.” On Friday, while virtually addressing the annual session of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, the actor-filmmaker said that he “usually follows his gut instinct, which has sometimes prompted his choice of films.” The superstar further said that he gets attached to the story of a film during the shoot. “I don’t have preconceived notions. I am very open.” Mr Perfectionist added that one should not take film awards seriously. It is well-known that Khan feels awards galas are staged and do not honour those who deserve them.

Party time for Bebo

Kareena Kapoor Khan with buddies

Kareena Kapoor Khan had a reason to make merry with her girl gang. On Thursday, she hosted a Thanksgiving party, which was attended by sister Karisma, buddies Malaika Arora and Mallika Bhat. Bebo’s bougainvillea-lined terrace is proving to be a hotspot for bashes over sumptuous food. “Gobble till you wobble,” wrote Arora.

In gratitude

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

All is well between Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Amid rumours of trouble in their marital life, after PeeCee dropped Jonas from her name on Instagram, she shared a post, which read, “So much to be grateful for... friends and family. I love you, Nick.” It appears the surname stunt was a publicity gimmick for the Jonas Brothers Family Roast. Any attention is good.

The capital connection

 Kartik Aaryan

Bollywood continues its fascination to shoot in Delhi against the backdrop of winter. Karan Johar is shooting for the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in the national capital. Rohit Dhawan is also shooting for his directorial venture, Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan in the cool climes. The unit is filming in the old parts of the city, including the Jama Masjid. Earlier, Luv Ranjan also shot for his untitled romantic drama, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, in the capital.

Ready to bowl

Ranveer Singh

The first teaser of 83 was unveiled on Friday, ahead of the trailer launch on November 30. Kabir Khan’s film revolves around India’s historical 1983 Cricket World Cup win. The first look shows the World Cup-winning ball where Madan Lal (played by Harrdy Sandhu) bowled to Vivian Richards and Kapil Dev (essayed by Ranveer Singh) took the catch. Singh posted, “The greatest story. The greatest glory. 83 releasing in cinemas on December 24, 2021, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.”

You surprise me every day, keep being the lion that you are.” Rampal’s kids, Mahikaa, Myra and Arik extended a helping hand in the cake-cutting.

Back at work
