Stunt director Sham Kaushal is a veteran in his field and has choreographed many stunt sequences in Hindi films. The director has also worked on the stunt sequences for Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu-starrer 'Dunki' directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Kaushal and Khan have previously worked together in films like Om Shanti Om, Asoka, and Don.

Talking to India Today, Kaushal recalled shooting for the famous fire scene in Om Shanti Om where Khan ends up saving Deepika Padukone. Calling it one of the toughest shoot, Kaushal remembers explaining to Shah Rukh about the set and sequence and the superstar told him, "Paaji tension na le, main aisa nikal jaunga".

Similarly, during the shoot of Don, Khan was required to drive through a ball of fire. When Sham was explaining the scene to him, the actor said, "Paaji mujhe 70 ke speed se chalana hai na? Baaki aap kar lo". (Sir, I have to drive at the speed of 70 right, rest you do whatever you want to do).

Talking further about Dunki, Kaushal said that it is his fourth collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani and the director is like a brother to him. He mentioned that even though the film is not an out and out action film, the audience will get to see Khan do some stunts in the film. He also said that SRK is always supportive and will always be on the sets coordinating with the stunt team and actors.

Sham Kaushal also worked on the recently released film 'Gadar 2' starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead. Talking about its success, he said, " "Honestly, saying I knew the film is playing as per the gallery, knew it would touch people and it would do very well, but didn't expect it to do so well. That's the thing 'jab logo ka pyaar umadta hain na, tab bawaal hota hain'. We are very humbled in front of people, films are made keeping the audience in mind, so when the film does well, you do feel good. But when it does more than your expectation, then the joy is even more. This is a celebration for the entire film industry, it will motivate many to put in money and make films, it is good for our industry, especially post-pandemic."
