Vivek Oberoi

Vivek Oberoi made his Hindi film debut in 2002 with  Ram Gopal Varma's 'Company' and became an overnight sensation. He was considered to be the next big superstar. Some also considered him to be the next superstar. However, after delivering hits and swooning the audience with his charm, his career started going downhill after a press conference he did in 20023. In the conference, he spoke about the abusive calls he got from Salman Khan where the superstar threatened to kill him for his closeness to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

However, months before the conference, Vivek had expressed his love for Salman Khan in an interview. Post the release of his film Road, Vivek did an interview with Rediff where he talked about stardom.

When asked if he would like to star in a biopic of Shah Rukh Khan, he said, “I am fascinated by Shah Rukh Khan. He is brilliant. Every time I meet him, I tease him, 'Hello God, how are you?' Gauri (Shah Rukh's wife) keeps saying 'Stop calling him that. He is just Shah Rukh.' Here's a guy who comes from nowhere, has no connections to cinema and has no way to make it in. On his beliefs and convictions, he enters films, marries his childhood sweetheart, rules tinsel town and walks into offices and tells filmmakers to either sign him now or regret later."

He further added, "I do not idolise Shah Rukh. I am fascinated because he is an interesting story. He has an interesting career graph. He won the award for the best actor and best villain in the same year. He is arrogant, yet he is also the humblest person around. He is so complex and interesting. I have immense respect for him. I am in awe of Shah Rukh.”

He further added, “I also love Salman, Aamir and Amitabh Bachchan.”

On the work front, Vivek Oberoi was last seen in the films Kaduva (Malayalam) and Khudiram Bose (Telugu) in 2022. He also featured in a short film called 'Versus of War'. The actor is known for his work in films like 'Yuva', 'Saathiya', and 'Omkara'.
