Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were recently spotted together at an event. The two actors who made their debut in the Hindi film industry together in 2012 have been featured in several films together. The two are popularly know as Varia among their fans. At a recent press conference, Varun and Alia gave a glimpse of their camaraderie.

At the event talking about the nicknames he has for Alia, Varun said, "She has a lot of pet names. I used to call her Aloo during 'Student of the year'. For a long time, I used to call Aamir Khan because when she was around 20-21 , her dressing sense was similar to Aamir Khan. She would wear high waist jeans and tucked in short. her swag was a lot like Aamir and she is a perfectionist also."

The duo were also asked as to when they will be sharing screen space next. They were last seen together in the 2019 film 'Kalank' which did not perform well at the box office.

Reacting to it, Alia said, “Varun is very busy, doesn't have dates." Varun had a hilarious reply to this, “Yeah I'm very busy, I just had a baby,” leaving Alia in splits. Alia then added, “We have discussed this various times. Whenever we have come together on screen it has been a very joyous occasion for the audience. And the films have done well. So we don't want to do it just for the sake of doing it, we want to make sure the product is really good.”

Responding to the question, Varun Dhawan said that Alia always keeps him on his toes and which helps him bring his A-Game. “So what she is saying is right. Any discussion which happens about creatively coming together, it has to be the best. It has to be something that we love, and we feel that we don’t disappoint the audience. We want to give them our best. So it’s an active discussion, but the only reason it is taking so much time is because we are also looking out for something which will be best suited for us,” said Varun.
