Rock took a jab at Jada’s autoimmune condition called alopecia which resulted in hair loss

Comedian Ricky Gervais has defended Chris Rock over his controversial joke on Jada Pinkett Smith at the Oscars. The comedian, who often provokes celebrities at awards shows, said Rock’s joke at the 94th Academy Awards that resulted in Will Smith slapping him wasn’t offensive. He then proceeded to joke about disabilities.

Rock took a jab at Jada’s autoimmune condition called alopecia which resulted in hair loss. “Someone said it was joking about her disability,” Geravis said in a recent interaction. “Well I’m going a bit thin. So I’m disabled. That means I can park right up next to [British supermarket] Tesco now. I’m fat and balding. I should get benefits,” he laughed. Geravis’s comments irked a set of citizens who criticised him for his apathy.
