The three-day Shisha International Jazz Festival will be showcasing performances by six international Jazz bands

All that Jazz!

Pune has been a hub for musicians from India as well as abroad, who come to the city to perform for its music loving audiences. The city’s music aficionados can now add another festival to their go-to list as Pune readies itself for the eighth edition of the International Jazz Festival.

Organised by Shisha Jazz Café, the three-day festival will feature six internationalu00a0Jazz bands.

“We have a lot of people in the city who follow authentic Jazz music. We have been organising an all-Jazz performance every week just for them. We get a lot of crowd for Jazz music,” says organiser Mehadi Niroomand.

He adds, “This is the eighth year of the international festival, and we have been receiving a very good response. The artistes performing this year have come all the way from the US and Japan and have been touring all over India. This festival is going to be a unique performance for them as well as they have never performed in an authentic Jazz venue before. This is one-of-a-kind event. We hope that people who don’t know much about this genre of music should also come to enjoy good music.”

There will be two band performances per day over three days.
