The line-up includes hand-block printed duppattas that are priced from '250 onwards. DAMA has been known for working with natural dyes over the past two decades and is one of the pioneers in natural dye technology. At this exhibition you can see a combination of earthy warm colours derived from pomegranate rind, indigo and alizarine along with vibrant chemical colours in a wide variety of textures and counts.
The exhibition showcases a range of fabrics in strips and checks, plains, zari and thread borders in natural dyes and with kalamkari prints.
Durga Laxmi, a member of Dastkar Andhra pointed out that these fabrics not only look good but are also good for the skin as they don’t have any chemicals in it.
On display are readymade kurtas for men and women in cotton and Khadi with block prints. There are pre-shrunk hand-woven fabrics in a variety of textures and hand-block prints as well. They also offer blouses and bedsheets with Kalamkari prints, Ikkat stripes and Ikkat designs. We also recommend their kurtis, duppttas and sarees.
