Taking friends shopping is usually an exhausting exercise. Retail therapy does not really work if you aren't doing it for yourself.
Taking friends shopping is usually an exhausting exercise. Retail therapy does not really work if you aren't doing it for yourself. That's perhaps why I was drawn into the Art Entrance Gallery when I saw the hypnotic motifs in Tanaji Awghade's paintings. Not that I'm an art connoisseur, but there was something in the paintings that had a particularly soothing effect. The geometric patterns, Awghade told us, were symbols of potent cosmic power.
They "harness the wayward mind" and help one connect with the cosmos, the artist added. The spiritual energy captured in the paintings certainly made my attempt at seeking solace in credit card-karma rather frivolous. The humble, Kolhapur-based artist does not have a website or a brochure of his works. All he had were his paintings, he pointed out. This one's worth a dekko, especially on a manic Monday.u00a0
