Powergrid conducts online vendor development programme with sc-st micro and small enterprises

An Online Vendor Development Program (VDP) exclusively for SC-ST Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) was organised in association with National SC-ST Hub, Surat by WR-II of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSU under Ministry of Power, Government of India.

The program was chaired by Executive Director, WR-II in virtual presence of Branch Head of National SC[1]ST Hub, Surat (NSSHO) & President of Federation of SC-ST Entrepreneurs, Vadodara (FSSE) along with 31 SC-ST MSEs. The VDP focused on MSEs owned by SC-ST entrepreneurs to enhance their participation in procurements made by POWERGRID.

POWERGRID has presently 172,154 ckm of transmission lines, 262 Sub-stations and more than 446,940 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain average transmission system availability >99%
