Sardar Singh Suri Ji was respected in the entire Sikh community in Mumbai

On the 87th Birth Anniversary of Late Sardar Singh Suri Ji, a Chowk has been named after him in his memory.

The event was held in the presence of *Mla Ameet Satam, Corporators Sudha Singh* & *Rohan Rathod, Jaspal Singh Suri & Maninder Singh Suri.* Finance Entrepreneurs *Jagmeet singh Gandhi & Kawaljeet Gandhi were also present with Harpreet Kaur Suri, Mishpreet Kaur Suri & singer Juggy Sandhu.*

Lovingly known as 'Daddy Ji' in entire Andheri, Sardar Singh Suri Ji founded 4 Bungalows Gurudwara Mumbai, and was the President for almost 45years, and this responsibilty of sewa (social work) is now taken over by his son.

In this Gurudwara, Langar is served everyday to hundreds of people since many years, 365 days a year, and during the Covid19 lockdown Langar was served twice a day to 5000 needy people everyday .

He also founded a charitable school in the year 1991, by the name of GTBP School. Since then, his family has been educating hundreds of students from nearby slums in minimal cost.

He was also a very succesful businessman who started the construction firm M/s Kanwal Corporation in 1979, which has done many projects in Mumbai so far and continues to flourish under his son Jaspal singh & grandson Maninder singh suri

Sardar singh suri Ji was respected in the entire Sikh community in Mumbai, and was also well known and popular in other communities for his social work. Tens of people visited him everyday for help to resolve their woes.
