A special squad, led by DCP Zone I Ravindra Sisve, raided Liv, a pub in Kala Ghoda and booked 21 youngsters, including seven girls, the pub owner and the manager yesterday around 1.45 am.
Twenty five police officials detained more than 350 youngsters, but booked only 14 boys and seven girls, who were taken to MRA Marg police station as the pub was open past the deadline time. The detained included film personalities and foreigners.

“Some of the policemen beat us with a lathi. A girl was injured when a lady constable beat her,” a youngster present at the party said. Another youngster claimed, “There were no drugs. We had the requisite licence but the police did not listen. We were released around 4.30am.”
A police officer said, on condition of anonymity, “Many partygoers were inebriated and tried to attack us. We were forced to act against them.” More than 150 youngsters ran away from the police station, according to sources. u00a0
