His urges have now landed him behind bars after he robbed Rs 3.5 lakh from model-cum actress Ayesha Khan, who had hired him as her driver.

On September 25, Ayesha went to an office in Jogeshwari with the accused driving her car, and she collected Rs 3.5 lakh and continued on to Khar to do some shopping.
According to Prashant More, PSI Khar police station, upon reaching a mall in Khar (West) on the afternoon of September 25, Ayesha left the cash in the car and asked the accused to wait till she returned. When she returned, she found the accused and the cash missing from the car. She waited for sometime thinking that the accused was nearby or had gone to buy something and even searched the nearby shops. When he failed to return, she proceeded to Khar police station to register a compliant.
“We tracked the accused through his cell phone, but he kept hanging his location continuously. He was in Pune for sometime, then Bhayandar and several other locations thereafter. His last known location was traced to Surat,” said More.
Hooked to bars
According to the Khar police, his love for alcohol and bar girls finally led to his arrest. “He was last seen in Kosad, Surat, where he was spending money extravagantly on bar girls and was a habitual visitor to one particular bar.”
Breakthrough
The cops got a final breakthrough over the weekend after an informer of the Surat Crime Branch, who was also a regular visitor of the bar, spotted Ayaan spending money.
He felt something was amiss and informed the police. The accused was detained by the Surat sleuths and interrogated, during which he confessed to decamping with his employer’s cash in Mumbai.
API Navnath Sonavne of the Khar police station said, “The accused was brought to Mumbai on Monday. He has been charged under Section 381 of the IPC. The accused was produced in the Bandra court the same day and remanded in police custody till October 25. The accused has spent over Rs 1 lakh from the Rs 3.5 lakh he stole. We are further investigating whether he was involved in other theft cases as well.”u00a0
