The central government on Saturday stepped up the consultation process on the Telangana demand by holding discussions with Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan and CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy but dismissed talk of President's rule in the state. Narasimhan met PM Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram separately on Saturday.
The AP Governor said, after a meeting with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, "there is no question of imposing President's rule".
