The model-and-many-things is happy about his jungle experience. "It was never the money, so I wouldn't want to go back," he says. After having a staple diet of soya, rice and hot water in the jungle, he says he's feeling healthier. "I lost my weight the healthy way, living amidst nature, unlike here where I would be gymming and making diet charts." Marc says he's re-discovered himself "because I realised in Mumbai out of 10 things, eight things I would be doing were insignificant. I know it's your family all the way". So while the wife welcomed him back with "prawn balchao, mutton biryani and champagne", the kids did a jungle dance.
Ask him why his friend Akashdeep Saigal seems to have lost it, he says, "I think less food has led to a growling stomach and so a growling mouth. He wouldn't be my friend if he was that in real life, abusive and degrading towards women. I don't know if he's playing a game or what..."
Who does he see winning? "Chetan because he's got what it takes. He's a giant teddy bear, though I wish he didn't let Akash fire off his shoulder. But I wish Mona Vasu wins. Because if she does, then it means men and women can compete in these tough games and women can win them as well. When I went to my daughter Chanel's school, she told her friends, 'My father lost the challenge, more power to women!' That made me happy."
He says that more than him, his wife had a tough time living alone with three kids and doing everything by herself. And so to make up for lost time, the Robinsons leave for a 10-day vacation today.
Maybe, Waluscha's wish might just come true.
