Amid allegations about ATS officials having fixed evidence against some in the September 2008 Malegaon blast case, the Bombay High Court issued notices to state government, National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the state's Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) yesterday.
This followed a petition filed by an accused, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, claiming that officers of the terrorism squad had tampered with evidence in the case. Chaturvedi requested for a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case.
