A R Krishnamurthy's driver was speeding and failed to see the U-turn
In a freak accident yesterday, a biker lost his life after a speeding car, which belongs to A R Krishnamurthy,
president of Ambedkar Development Corporation and an ex-MLA, hit him.
The impact of the collision was so grave that the biker, who was identified as Imtiyaz (27), died on the spot.
The accident took place near Mandya around 10 am when Krishnamurthy was on his way to Mysore.

According to eyewitnesses, the car was speeding, and the driver failed to see the U-turn, and hit Imtiyaz, who was coming from the opposite direction, killing him on the spot. Krishnamurthy and his driver escaped with minor injuries.
After the accident, a huge crowd gathered around the spot, and surrounded the car. A heated argument ensued between the locals and Krishnamurthy for an hour.
The Mandya police finally stepped in and filed a negligence case against the driver. Officials from the Mandya police station said that Krishnamurthy left after leaving the car at the police station.

Somashekhar, an eyewitness, said, " If the driver was not speeding, this mishap could have been avoided."
Accident at Vidhan Soudha
A Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV), which belongs to an official of Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa's media department, rammed into an ambulance parked at Vidhan Soudha at around 3 pm yesterday.
According to cops, the driver lost control over the vehicle while taking a sharp turn towards the parking lot. The vehicle first crashed into the ambulance and then broke the fence.
Mallikarjun, a traffic inspector from Cubbon Park, said that they have recorded the incident in the police dairy and will issue a notice to the driver ask him to pay the fine for rash and negligent driving.
