Jazz lovers, it's time to wipe your Herbie Hancock and Keith Richards CDs carefully and keep them back carefully in the rack. For the real deal is coming to your city. The annual Jazz Utsav is back once again in the city with the doyens of Indian and international jazz performing just for you.

Old timers might know this festival as Jazz Yatra, also a regular on the Mumbai and Delhi circuit. One of the highlights of the show is American jazz guitarist Larry Carlton who specialises in smooth jazz, jazz fusion, pop and rock music. With three Grammy wins and several nominations to his credit, Carlton has recorded with music giants like Steely Dan, Michael Jackson,. Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, Quincy Jones and others.

You can also tune into musicians like Talvin Singh who will be jamming with Eric Truffaz, a French jazz trumpeter who specialises in hip hop, rock and roll and dance music. Homegrown jazz musician Ranjit Barot will also be performing with his band and musicians like jazz saxophonist Tim Garland and electric bass player Dominique Di Piazza.
