Kyra knows how to keep any Bangalorean entertained and this week's line-up is sure to make you want to pick up that phone, book your seat and make most of these weekday evenings. "We encourage an eclectic mix of music, drama and any kind of performance. Bangalore has a diverse audience and they need diverse art forms to quench the never ending requirement for good art," says Deepali Sikand, owner, Kyra Theatre.

January 12
Scratch Card winners
This is a city band comprising three members. Formed in April 2009, their sound is youthful, energetic and fresh. In fact, energy is the essence of their music, which is essentially rock 'n' roll. The band consists of Zou00eb on vocals and guitars, Kishore on bass and Shashi on drums.
January 13
Rajeev & the Rebels
They are a young and vibrant lot, who do not believe in categorising music according to genres. Playing mainly rock, blues, folk and world music, this band will perform both covers and original compositions. The band features Rajeev on Vocals, Wilfred Demoz on drums, Satchith Paulose on guitar, Anand Mahadevan on bass and Uday Jose on the keyboard.

Ghalib
Well, this man is not the poet maestro of a bygone era but Ghalib Ghallab from Las Vegas. The musician is down in town to give us a taste of his style of Latin sambas and loud modern funk with a bit of classical tri-format jazz and rollicking blues, thrown in. Jihad Ghallab, his son, will accompany Ghalib, who is also known as one of the pioneers of eclectic jazz on drums.

It is time to walk down the memory lane. Catch Biju Nair live paying tribute to the evergreen actor Dev Anand. From Hare Ram Hare Ram Krishna to Jewel Thief, Nair is ready to bring back the old times through his mellifluous voice.

Lehera; Prakash Sontakke
This group brings in a mu00e9lange of the flavours of North and South Indian classical music. By blending the two forms, he has brought about an energetic and deep sound that you're sure to love. Their sound is characterized by vocals in Western and Classical Indian style mixed with a Hindustani slide guitar, violin, bamboo flutes and vocal harmonics. The use of the Ghatam (Clay pot drum), Konnakol (Carnatic drum language) with a dash of guitar gives their music a unique sound.

Judwa Maaza with Sai Ram
