"While my guitar sleeps", is not the only song that brought Guitar Club's founding members Rishi Talwar, Aditya Talwar and Imrin Khurana together.

In 2008, the club started out as a guitar training and musical instrument store on NIBM Road, where they conducted classes for students aged eight years and above. "I've been playing the guitar since 1994, and I was fired with the desire to live my dream with like-minded musicians by creating a place for all likeminded guitar lovers to hang out," said Rishi. The club also conducts advanced workshops for various genres of music and invite musicians to share their views and experiences.u00a0
Besides, the club supplies guitars to major cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore. While Aditya and Imrin, who are based in Mumbai, deal with the distribution of instruments. Aditya and Rishi also play for a Mumbai rock-band called RADAR. Aspi Patel, an NRI from New Zealand and who is currently in Pune, is a great fan of the club. "It's a pleasure to be with the group, where you find people who speak the same language of music."
Another student, Vijay Iyer, who is a manager at Oracle BI solutions, thinks the crowd that gathers at the Club is an enthusiastic lot. "The club members are young, energetic and really understand music. It's a fun way of learning. I was so impressed that I even got my wife enrolled."
Every year, the club organises a live stage show where students and professionals perform. This year, the event was held at The One Lounge at Kalyani Nagar on June 8.
Lucky prize
"We even gave away a guitar as a lucky-draw prize."
A DJ training workshop and Jam Studio are part of their future plans, which will give young artists a platform to perform and form bands.
