Precaution
Speaking to Sunday MiD DAY, SGNP Director Sunil Limaye, said, “Our mobile squad team usually patrols in the park at regular intervals. However, as a precautionary measure, we have decided to increase the number of people patrolling the area.
“Earlier there were five guards posted along the road going towards Kanheri, butnow the number has been increased to 20-25 guards. We have instructed our guards to ask couples found sitting in isolated corners to leave the premises,” explains Limaye, adding that the park authorities have also decided to increase the foot patrolling inside the forest and in the tourism zone so that people don’t wander inside the forest.
The SGNP authorities are also keeping a strict vigil on secluded areas and on the activities of people coming and going from the park.u00a0
