Reconciliation talks between Jet airways management and pilots' union will continue today, after they failed to reach an agreement last night

Union Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, however, said, he expected a solution to the crisis "within the next 48 hours".
Nine hours
The nine-hour long talks before the Chief Labour Commissioner S K Mukhopadhyay, where the pilots and the management representatives came face to face for the first time since the stir started on Tuesday, were inconclusive.

The management is willing to take back the sacked employees, but only with a rider that the pilot's union be dismantled.
Further talks will resume in Mumbai today, according to Capt Girish Kaushik, president of the pilots' body National Aviators Guild (NAG).
Kaushik said yesterday that the pilots will not resume work "as of now" and the stir will continue. "I am hopeful that the crisis will be resolved tomorrow.
If they start where I left today, it will enable them to arrive at a solution tomorrow," Mukhopadhyay said yesterday.
The two sides had almost arrived at a solution, but "drafting" issues relating to NAG and show-cause notices served by the management to the pilots came in the way.
Civil Aviation Secretary
M Madhavan Nambiar also met representatives of all airlines and asked them to increase their flights till the Jet imbroglio is settled.

"Letters have already been issued asking airlines not to hike fares," said Nambiar.
