Satpal Singh and Ram Asreya were cornered by motorcycle-borne assailants at Roshnara Road while they were returning home late last night. The bikers asked them to hand over the bag that they were carrying.
When Satpal and Asreya resisted, the bikers shot them and also inflicted stab wounds by a knife. Leaving the two critically injured, the assailants fled with the bag. Both of them later died on the spot.
The police said that the bag contained around Rs 11 lakh. The victims, who worked for a plastic trader, were residents of Gulabi Bagh in Bara Hindu Rao. A case has been registered.
