BJP leader and Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis was born on July 22, 1970, in Nagpur. He served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from October 2014 to November 2019.

Devendra Fadnavis started his political career at a young age and became a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the BJP, during his college days.

In 1999, Fadnavis was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Nagpur and won consecutive elections from the same constituency in 2004, 2009, and 2014.

In October 2014, Fadnavis was sworn in as the CM of Maharashtra.

In November 2019, Fadnavis resigned as Chief Minister after his party failed to secure a majority in the state assembly elections. However, his tenure as Chief Minister left a lasting impact on Maharashtra's development trajectory. After the split of Shiv Sena last year, with the help of Eknath Shinde, Fadnavis formed a new government in the state and became Deputy CM of Maharashtra

Let us check out a few rare photos from the past of Devendra Fadnavis which narrate his political career:
