Cyclone Fengal has caused heavy rainfall and strong winds in various regions of Southern India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cyclone is expected to make landfall along the northern Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts, bringing wind speeds of 70-80 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 90 km/h. As a result, several flights to and from Chennai were impacted on Friday due to the adverse weather, leading airlines to issue travel advisories. Additionally, the heavy rains triggered by Cyclone Fengal have disrupted train operations, prompting Southern Railway to announce schedule changes.
