The Chief of Israel`s Defense Forces, Herzi Halevi, announced he will resign, taking responsibility for the security failure during the deadly Hamas attack on October 7. He promised to finish the IDF’s investigations and improve security readiness before stepping down on March 6. Halevi will hand over control to a new leader, though the name of the successor hasn’t been revealed. There are also reports suggesting that the heads of the Navy and Air Force might resign as well.
