One of the Australian DJs at the centre of the Kate Middleton prank call tragedy has returned to work.
Michael Christian and fellow presenter Mel Greig rang King Edward VII’s Hospital in central London in December posing as the Queen and Prince of Wales when Kate was being treated for a severe morning sickness.

Nurse Jacintha Saldanha, who transferred them to a colleague who described Kate’s condition in detail, was found hanged just days after falling victim to the prank, sparking a backlash.
The prank call sparked international outrage against the radio station, which had not gained consent from the nurses involved for their voices to be broadcast before putting the call to air. Christian and Mel Greig were suspended from their jobs but Christian has returned to work at Melbourne-based Fox FM.
Rhys Holleran, CEO of Austereo, which owns both radio stations, said, “We are happy to have Michael back on air. We have always supported our talent returning to work when appropriate and today marks that occasion for Michael. We look forward to welcoming Mel Greig back when the time is right.”
The pair’s programme was axed after the prank call. Neither DJ was charged over the incident.
