A German terror suspect, clad in burqa, has been arrested by Pakistani security officials in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province' Bannu District.

According to local police officials, the German man was in a vehicle with two other men and a young girl when they were stopped at a check-point.

Further investigations revealed that the German was travelling with a fake Pakistani passport, The BBC reports.

The German and his other two accomplices are being currently quizzed by Pakistani intelligence agencies.

The German embassy in Islamabad is yet to comment on the arrest of the suspects, who pretended to be a tribal family to give security officials a slip.

This is the second instance in less than a week where a foreigner terror suspect has been arrested in Pakistan.

Last week, an American construction worker, who has been famously dubbed as the 'US Rambo' was apprehended in the forests of Chitral.

Gary Brooks Faulkner, 51, told security forces that he was on a mission to find and decapitate Al-Qaeda Chief Osama bin Laden in revenge for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Officials had also recovered a pistol, dagger, sword and night vision equipment from Faulkner.
