After less than four hours of deliberations, the jury in the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump sent its first note to the judge.

Per an AP report, one of the panel's four demands was to hear testimony at a meeting that took place in 2015 at Trump Tower during which a strategy to suppress unfavourable news about the president was discussed.

The sought testimony will be gathered gradually, according to Judge Juan Merchan, but it will be read to the jurors.
