Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra along with Ajit Pawar. After the ceremony he said, "Devendra Fadnavis has taken oath as CM in a historic swearing-in ceremony. I congratulate him. 25-year-old Srishti Tuli, an Air India pilot, was found dead at her rented flat behind Marol Police Camp in Andheri (East) on Monday under mysterious conditions. Mumbai police called it a prima facie suicide case, but her relative Vivek Tuli, while speaking to ANI, denied this possibility and said that she cannot commit suicide. He further said that based on his investigations their might be a case of blackmail, which ultimately led to her death.

A massive fire broke out in a residential building in South Mumbai's Dongri area on Wednesday afternoon. The fire erupted on the 14th floor of Ansari Heights, a 15-storey building in Nishanpada, near Sandhurst Road station. Initial reports suggest the blaze was triggered by multiple cylinder blasts. The fire quickly spread to several floors, causing significant damage. Mumbai Fire Brigade declared the incident a Level-1 fire, with multiple fire engines rushing to the scene. However, rescue operations were hindered due to the narrow, congested lanes in the area. Fortunately, the fire department confirmed no injuries, and rescue efforts are ongoing. Due to the intensity of the blaze, the fire was later upgraded to a Level-3 incident. Firefighters are working to control the flames and prevent further damage.

Amid the ongoing suspense over who will be the Maharashtra CM, Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale on November 26 backed Devendra Fadnavis’ candidature for the Chief Minister post. While speaking to ANI, he suggested nominating Eknath Shinde to the central cabinet. "When Eknath Shinde came to know that the BJP high command has selected Devendra Fadnavis as the CM (of Maharashtra), he was a bit unhappy, which I can understand. But, BJP has got 132 seats and hence I think there should be a way, Devendra Fadnavis should be made the CM. Eknath Shinde can assume the charge of deputy CM. If he is not willing to be the deputy CM, he can be made union minister in PM Modi's cabinet... The people of Maharashtra want Devendra Fadnavis to be the CM," said Ramdas Athawale
