The Bherd of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is unlikely to appoint a new head coach for the national team in the immediate future. Team India could be Caribbean-bound this June using the services of an interim coach.
BCCI is unlikely to decide on the matter during its Working Committee's meeting on April 27 where the agenda would include various sub-committees' reports. "We are still in the process of doing finding a new coach.
There's no hurry as the team is leaving for the West Indies only on June 1," BCCI President Shashank Manohar told Press Trust of India from Nagpur yesterday.
Gary Kirsten quit the job after guiding India to the World Cup triumph. "The reports of various sub committees would be tabled at the meeting," the BCCI chief said.
