Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders may have returned to winning ways, but they had some bad news on Saturday before their Sunday's clash with Chennai Super Kings.
All-rounder Laxmi Ratan Shukla is ruled out for the season, while middle-order batsman Manoj Tiwary is out for at least a week.
The KKR team management confirmed that Tiwary would not be considered for the next two matches against — Chennai Super Kings (in Chennai today) and Delhi Daredevils (in Raipur on May 1).
“Tiwary has about six stitches in his hand. He will be out for at least seven days and we will be monitoring him. He won’t be travelling with us,” a team official said. “Shukla has got a knee injury for which he needs at least four to six weeks —that obviously puts him out of the tournament,” the official added. u00a0
