Gooch believes England can turn tables on India

Former England captain Graham Gooch has portended a sense of d ufffdj vu for Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Indians.

Gooch was part of the England team that sent India crashing out of the 1987 World Cup with a stunning win in the semi-final at Mumbai. The 57-year-old said history could repeat at the M Chinnaswamy stadium here today.

"Everybody is saying India are the favourites. I won't be surprised if England win here. It's a gut feeling but this team can surprise many people. I can see the self-belief in this English team," said Gooch who played a match-winning knock of 115 at the Wankhede 24 years ago.
