Hamish Marshall responsible for Tendulkar's withdrawl!

Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh Karthik were today withdrawn from the Master's match which was supposed to be held before the second T20 international between India and New Zealand this afternoon in Wellington.

The duo has been withdrawn because of an Indian Cricket League player, Hamish Marshall, being in one of the teams in the exhibition tie.

The match is to be played between the New Zealand Cricket Players Association and the Australian Cricketer's Association. Marshall was to play alongside Tendulkar for the NZCPA.

However, when MiD DAY contacted ICL executive board member Kiran More in Baroda last night, he said that Hamishu00a0Marshall has ended his two-year association with the rebel league last year.

Marshall, who represented Royal Bengal Tigers led by his countryman Craig McMillan last played an ICL match on November 11 last year the second semi-final of the Indian Championships tournament against Hyderabad Heroes in Ahmedabad. Opening the innings, he was run out for five.

The Bengal outfit could score only 161 for four, a total which their opponents surpassed with three wickets to spare. Stuart Binny top-scored with 45 match-winning runs.
