Hayden puts Mumbai Indians out of IPL

Powered by a splendid half-century by opener Matthew Hayden, Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians seven wickets on Saturday. The towering left-hander scored an unbeaten 60. Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained undefeated with 23.

Powered by a splendid half-century by opener Matthew Hayden, Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by seven wickets on Saturday. The towering left-hander scored an unbeaten 60 while Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained undefeated with 23.



Earlier, Mumbai had scored 147 for five in their 20-over quota. JP Duminy top-scored with 62 and Abhishek Nayar, who almost single handedly won the match for Indians against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, chipped in with 33. Sri Lankan stalwart Sanath Jayasuriya scored 30.



Breif scores: Mumbai 147-5 in 20 overs (JP Duminy 62, A Nayar 33 not out, S Jayasuriya 30, S Tendulkar 11). Chennai 151-3 in 19.1 overs (M Hayden 60 not out, MS Dhoni 23 not out, S Badrinath 22, S Raina 20)
