Indian team partied hard into the wee hours of the morning to celebrate their ODI series win

MAHENDRA Singh Dhoni's Indian team celebrated long and hard into the wee hours of yesterday morning after their ODI series win over Sri Lanka on Tuesday. The Indians were quick to leave the ground after the match and were given wholesome amounts of champagne at the lobby.

The Sri Lankan team, who reached the hotel after the Indian team, were surprised at the speed of their celebrations. After seeing the empty glasses and bottles on the floor, one of their players said, "They play their cricket fast and celebrate with the same kind of speed."

But the celebrations did not end with champagne. The team members freshened up and were down at the Mix Bar, where they celebrated till 3 am. All the team members except manager Prakash Dixit joined the celebrations, where the team danced to the tune of Daler Mehndi. Sachin Tendulkar decided to relax through a game of snooker but was stopped in his tracks by Yuvraj Singh, who got the little master on to the dance floor.

Sri Lankan batsman Thilina Kandamby peeped in, saw the Indians in full flight and decided against entering the room. It is learnt that some team members continued their celebrations in the rooms of Tendulkar and Dhoni.

Both teams play the fourth one-dayer at the Premadasa today.
