Morne Morkel, who injured his ankle in the first India vs South Africa Test at Johannesburg, told MiD DAY that he has enough time to recover for the second Test starting here on Thursday although the selectors have added Kyle Abbott to the squad for the Durban Test as cover for the tall fast bowler
Morkel, despite his ankle injury, would have walked out to bat in case South Africa needed him on Sunday, but the game ended in a draw.

In February, Abbott kicked off his Test career in brilliant fashion against Pakistan in Centurion where he claimed nine wickets in the game including 7 for 29 in the first dig. Strangely, he hasn’t been able to get a game after that. He will be in the playing XI of the second Test in case Morkel doesn’t get fit.
It is learnt that Dale Steyn, who was booed by the Wanderers crowd after he and Vernon Philander batted for a draw, was very disappointed by the reaction. He had to be pacified a great deal by skipper Graeme Smith.u00a0
