"We (MCA) will first redraw our constitution and get the draft approved by the managing committee before calling a Special General Meeting to get the amended constitution passed. We have six months’ time. I respect the judiciary and will be happy to retire from cricket administration," said Pawar.

Point of debate
However, Pawar said that MCA will write to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for clarification on the one state, one vote decision. "We need clarification on this point from the BCCI which can then seek the same from the Justice Lodha Committee," he said. Though Pawar is ineligible to continue with MCA due to his age and having had a cumulative term of over nine years, he pointed out: "The Supreme Court has taken a decision and I respect it, but in the Arbitration Panel of the Supreme Court there are judges who are above 70."
