First semi-final:




JALIS Shaikh was on fire right from the start after Pantaloons Retail won the toss and elected to bat against WNS.

Shaikh, who hit a six off the first ball of the match, scored a magnificent 58 runs in just 24 balls (5x4s, 4x6s) to give his side a fiery start. Teammate Sharad Shetty's 42 in 14 balls helped Pantaloons to register the MiD DAY Corporate Cricket League's highest score of 133 for seven in 10 overs.

Narhari and Mandar took two wickets each for WNS.

WNS' batsmen gave a tough fight but fell short of the target by 32 runs. Aditya scored 25, Abhijjt 19 and Mandar 18 in WNS' 101 for eight.

Pantaloons won by 32 runs

Second semi-final: TCS vs Edelweiss

Edelweiss' bowlers managed to restrict TCS for 100-3 in 10 overs.

But Edelweiss was in for a rude shock as TCS successfully managed to defend the score after some disciplined bowling from Ashwin (2-18), Amar (2-10) and Amit (2-6).

Edelweiss scored only 64-8 in the allotted 10 overs.

Prasad was the highest scorer for TCS with 53 runs. Teammate Debru was the second best with 23 runs. Rohan's 26 was the only notable performance for Edelweiss.

TCS won by 36 runs
