Virat Kohli's sensational innings of 92 runs helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru reach 241 runs in the IPL 2024 match against Punjab Kings. Kohli's masterclass came in just 47 deliveries including 7 fours and 6 sixes. Punjab Kings will now need to chase a target of 242 runs in the IPL 2024 match against RCB.

All-rounder Cameron Green too scored 46 runs off 27 balls which were laced with 5 fours and 1 six. Dinesh Karthik on the other hand, smashed 18 runs in seven deliveries. Karthik's knock included 1 four and 2 sixes.


Opening the innings for RCB in the IPL 2024 match against PBKS, Faf du Plessis departed early for nine runs. Facing seven balls, he smashed 2 fours. Will Jacks accumulated 12 runs in seven deliveries including 1 four and 1 six. Despite losing wickets in a quick session, Rajat Patidar stood strong with Virat Kohli. Patidar blasted 55 runs in 23 balls including 3 fours and 6 sixes. Later, facing 47 balls, Kohli smashed 92 runs. During his knock, the veteran smashed 7 fours and 6 sixes.

Pacer Vidhwath Kaverappa claimed two crucial wickets for RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks. Kaverappa conceded 36 runs in his four overs spell.  Captain Curran was the other wicket-taker in the match. He managed to dismiss dangerous Patidar. Lead pacer Arshdeep Singh in his three overs spell bagged one wicket for 41 runs. Harshal Patel too registered three wickets for 38 runs in four overs. Rahul Chahar and Liam Livingstone went wicketless in the IPL 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Despite claiming a wicket, skipped Sam Curran was the most expensive bowler from Punjab's perspective as he leaked 50 runs in three overs.

Veteran Shikhar Dhawan missed another IPL 2024 match due to a shoulder injury.
