Ayush Shinde’s 113 off 99 balls powered General Education Academy to 323 for 6 in 45 overs against Tarapur Vidyamandir, Boisar, in a fourth round match of the U-16 Harris Shield at the MCA-BKC ground on Friday. In response, the Boisar team were restricted to 198-7 in 45 overs with Aarush Thakur’s 96 going in vain while losing by 125 runs. Overnight rain caused an overs restriction for games.

Meanwhile, medium pacer Vardhan Patel of Swami Vivekanand International School Borivali, bagged a five-wicket haul at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana, Kandivili, to restrict RR Education Trust, Mulund, to 116-9 in 25 overs after Vardhan’s team scored 133-6 in 25 overs.


Rizvi Springfield High School Khar and Modern English School were involved in a thrilling match. Batting first Rizvi scored 135-7 in 25 overs with Mohd Arman Khan (48) and Meet Patel (32) being the top scorers. But Modern English School fell short by five runs to reach their target by the time the 23rd over was completed. Saif Khan scores 33 for Modern, who lost a close game.
