Newly-crowned Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is all set for her first commercial association — that of correspondent for US television's Inside Edition. And her first break is the prestigious Super Bowl 2016.

Super Bowl is a National Football League (NFL) championship game played annually between the champions of the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).

On Sunday, Super Bowl 50 will see NFC champs Carolina Panthers take on AFC champions Denver Broncos at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, to determine the champion of the 2015 NFL season.

Wurtzbach (26) of the Philippines, controversially dethroned Miss Colombia Adriana Gutierrez within just four minutes of the latter's crowning on December 20 last year.

Miss Universe host Steve Harvey apologised for reading the wrong name on the winning card and crowning Gutierrez instead of Wurtzbach.

Wurtzbach, meanwhile, has soaked in all the attention since the world famous mistake on live TV and the Super Bowl job is a consequence of this instant popularity.

In her role as Super Bowl 50 correspondent, Wurtzbach will be covering the final with exclusive interviews, behind-the-scene previews and live game coverage.

The gorgeous Wurtzbach was recently mobbed by NFL players and fans seeking selfies in the run-up to the final. Reporters covering the event were also seen clicking selfies with the beauty queen.

Social ambassador
According to reports, Wurtzbach takes pride in her new assignment and considers it to be a great compliment as she feels the job will draw her closer to a number of people and will assist the execution of her functions as a social ambassador for Miss Universe.

Wurtzbach also harbours dreams of becoming a Bond Girl one day.
