In the 54-kg weight category, Priyanka Chaudhary fought extremely well but lost to the more experienced Asian Champion Zhang Qin of China 6-10.
Mary Kom, who narrowly beat Natalie in an exhibition bout in Sweden last year, measured her opponent in the first round Thursday, leading 2-0.
She came into her own in the second round when she let loose a flurry of punches to lead 6-0. The Indian continued her domination, consolidating her lead to 8-0 after the third round and finished off 10-1 after the fourth and last round.u00a0 Mary Kom, 27, will next take on Australian Jenny Smith in the pre-quarter finals today.
